Didn’t finish matric and wondering how to advance your career? Want to work with machinery, car repair, as an electrician, construction, and other practical industries? Guess what, you can! You don’t need a matric or experience to get your national certificate and start earning! Here are the top 5 reasons to study a technical course in South Africa:
1. You’ll start earning sooner
Each Optimi College technical national certificate is divided into three courses. After completing the first course, you’ll already have enough basic knowledge to start working in that industry while you complete the second and third courses part-time. This means you can start working within a year of studying.
2. You’ll always have job opportunities
Optimi College technical courses are accredited with Umalusi, meaning that you will have job opportunities inside South Africa but also internationally!
3. Earn a competitive salary
Technical work can’t be done by everyone and in South Africa, starting salaries for mechanics and other practical jobs are competitive. This increases even more once you’ve got a national certificate.
4. Anyone can do it
You don’t need a matric to be able to study a technical course with Optimi College! All you need is a 40% mark in grade 9 mathematics and a 30% in grade 9 physical science. If you don’t have that, Optimi College offers a bridging course in those 2 subjects to allow you to qualify.
5. You don’t need the full fee right now
Optimi College allows students to pay their courses with monthly instalments. Pay a manageable amount once a month to pay off your course easily.
